Couples are already planning their romantic dates with some scrumptious food and drinks to round it up. Have you not done it yet? No need to fret yet, because we have compiled a list with some of the best restaurants in Prague where to spend this Valentine’s Day.

 

Restaurant Terasa U Zlaté Studně

The Terasa U Zlaté studně restaurant invites you to a romantic Valentine’s dinner. The Valentine’s Day tasting menu consists of 7 courses: e.g. fresh oysters Killpatrick gratinated with bacon and parmesan breadcrumbs, duck liver foie gras terrine with smoked duck breast, sea bass with carrot puree, topped with Jerusalem artichoke sauce and other dishes. The menu includes coffee and mineral water. Price per person: 3.100 CZK

 

Restaurant CODA

Coda restaurant has also prepared Valentine’s Day tasting menu for couples in love. The 5-course menu will include grilled scallops with cauliflower cream and champagne sauce, pork fillet and beef Oxtail croquette with pomme purée with wholegrain mustard, smoked bone sauce and oyster mushroom, the sweet dessert – hot chocolate cake with strawberry sorbet and confit and much more. Menu price includes sparkling and still water, coffee or tea. Price per person: 2.200 CZK

 

Casa De Carli

Restaurant Mlýnec

Lovers’ Day is also celebrated in the Mlýnec Restaurant. 4-course Valentine’s menu opens with shrimp profiterole with ginger, mango, coriander and rouille sauce, followed by St. James scallops with corn, spinach arancini and cioppino sauce, the main course is veal rib-eye steak served with fried gnocchi, wild broccoli, mushrooms and perigourdine sauce, and finally a chocolate bomb with coconut, peanut butter and passion fruit. Price per person: 1.490 CZK

 

V Zátiší

V Zátiší is a fine-dining restaurant on Liliová Street, just by Betlémské náměstí in the centre of Prague. This year’s Valentine’s menu is available from 1st until at least 14th February for 1,450 CZK per person

  • Dry-aged beef tartare, truffle, mayonnaise, pickled vegetables.
  • Shrimp gyoza, wakame salad, ponzu.
  • Celeriac cream soup, pears, walnuts, truffle oil.
  • Ravioli with ricotta and gorgonzola, tomato dip, butter emulsion.
  • St. Jacob’s scallops, cauliflower purée, cardinal sauce, pink pepper.
  • Veal fillet in filo pastry crust, potato-vanilla purée, mushrooms, bordelaise sauce.
  • Tandoori chicken tikka roll, tamarind, pickled vegetables.
  • Chocolate cremeux, banana, popcorn, salty caramel.
  • Raspberry foam, chocolate chips, cranberry dust.

 

 

Na Kopci 

Na Kopci translates as ‘on the hill’ and that exactly describes its position on the Brabenec Hill in Prague 5. To get there you need to take a bus or a taxi. This year’s Valentine’s menu is only available on Monday 14th February for 1250 CZK per person.

  • Marinated tuna with shitake mushrooms in tempura, wasabi mayonnaise and tobiko caviar.
  • Galantine of quail and pistachio with saffron.
  • Pomegranate sorbet.
  • Grilled shrimps with sun-dried tomato fettuccine and roasted artichokes or Veal steak ‘rossini’ with foie gras, truffle sauce and potatoes.
  • Fried raspberry ice cream with white chocolate sauce.

 

Restaurant Deer

Enjoy Valentine’s Day with a romantic three-course dinner at the Deer Restaurant. Seared scallops with green pea puree, sea bass fillet with grilled vegetables, sweet potato fondant and fish velouté or duck breast sous vide with potato and celery puree and strawberry panna cotta with sea buckthorn and cranberry puree, white chocolate mousse and raspberry caviar. The menu also includes coffee. Price per person: 999 CZK
