Czechia has lowest standard VAT rate in Visegrad Group
Czechia has the lowest standard value-added tax (VAT) rate among the four Visegrad countries, according to an analysis by consultancy Forvis Mazars. The country's standard VAT rate is 21%, compared with 23% in Poland and Slovakia and 27% in Hungary. However, Czechia's reduced VAT rate of 12% is among the highest in the region.

Macinka would like to complete embassy move to Jerusalem
Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka (Motorists) said he would like to complete the relocation of the Czech embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by the end of his term in office. He told journalists this after a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar at Prague’s Černín Palace.

Czechia records one of Europe's lowest inflation rates
Czechia had the seventh-lowest inflation rate in Europe in May, according to an analysis by investment company Portu. Consumer prices rose by 2.1% year on year, improving the country's ranking from tenth place in April. Inflation was higher in all neighbouring countries, reaching 2.6% in Germany, 3.1% in Poland, 3.7% in Austria and 3.9% in Slovakia.
