More than 1,300 cases of borreliosis have been recorded in the Czech Republic in the first quarter of 2026, more than three times the figure for the same period last year. According to doctors, the rise is partly linked to a change in the reporting system, which now records all cases in a single database.

New Petřín Funicular Cars Arrive in Prague

New wagons for the Petřín Funicular have arrived in Prague, with installation planned for the second half of April. The line has been closed for reconstruction since September 2024, and work is now in its final stage. Test rides are expected in May, while the full reopening is planned for September 2026.
