Prague Lags Behind Smaller Cities in Cycling Infrastructure Ranking

Prague ranked only 34th among Czech cities for the quality of its cycling infrastructure, while Uničov in the Olomouc Region placed first for the third consecutive year. The CycloRank Česko 2025 study, prepared by the organization Městem na kole, compared 128 cities with populations over 10,000.

President Petr Pavel’s Approval Rating Declines Over Past Year

President Petr Pavel’s approval rating in the Czech Republic has declined over the past year. In the latest survey, he received an average score of 2.9 on a school grading scale, compared to 2.6 a year ago. Respondents rated him highest for his public speeches (2.4), his representation of the country abroad (2.7), and his use of presidential powers (2.8).
