Pavel: If crown slows Czechia’s development, country must adopt euro
The Czech president, Petr Pavel, says that if Czechia continuing to not have the euro as its currency slowed its development, it would be time to drop the country’s attachment to the crown. Speaking at a conference in Prague entitled reVize, Mr. Pavel said if the country had the euro it would have more say in decision-making at EU level.

Macinka would like to complete embassy move to Jerusalem
Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka (Motorists) said he would like to complete the relocation of the Czech embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by the end of his term in office. He told journalists this after a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar at Prague’s Černín Palace.

Police make seizures in operation against illegal kratom, CBD sales
The Czech police seized almost 86,000 products and 155 kilos of kratom in a four-week operation aimed at curbing the illegal sale of low-potency cannabis (or CBD) and kratom, the minister of the interior, Lubomír Metnar, said on Monday. More than 11,000 products were ordered to be withdrawn from sale or destroyed, while the authorities closed three establishments and blocked 25 online stores.
