Kateřina and Tereza, food lovers who run the successful Instagram channel kamvpraze, will share with us at Prague Morning a weekly food tip. We’ll discover together new openings in the city, hidden cafes, bistros, or well-renowned restaurants.
The review that you wished for the most during this month was definitely on a newly opened bistro Knedlín.
The concept of this place is really unique as it connects the traditional Czech dumplings with current food trends and extra-ordinary dumpling fillings. We truly believe it is such a great idea which can surely help foreigners, younger generations as well as those who do not really enjoy Czech dumplings to better understand our Czech cuisine.
What do we think about the dumplings itself? Well, you can get there both, sweet as well as salty ones and we only tried two sweet ones – the coconut one filled with berries and another one with blueberries. We enjoyed both of them, nevertheless, we expected more, considering the boom which is connected with this bistro.
The dough was good, not too sweet which we liked and the filling was tasty too, we do not really have anything specific to criticize, it is just the overall feeling – we simply expected more and weren’t really excited about it. Maybe we should try some salty ones or the other sweet ones with their sauces – they have really a lot of flavors so you will surely find something that you like.
