Ice Skating Rink Opening in Prague’s Letna for the 2020/21 Season

Ice skating has a tradition in the Czech Republic and nowadays it’s a very popular social outdoor activity among locals. Doesn’t matter if you do it just for fun with your friends or you list ice skating as your workout activity, you will surely benefit from it!

On Saturday, December 19, one of the most popular ice skating rinks in Prague will reopen to the public. Like last year, the entrance is for free.

The ice skating rink is located in the area on Letna plain, near M. Horakove street and in front of Sparta football stadium.

This year, in addition to the main ice rink measuring 40×20 meters, the organizers will prepare a separate small ice rink.

The skating area also has a heated changing room, rental service offering skates and helmets, and social facilities. In the immediate proximity of the rink, there are refreshment stands and tables with benches, too.

When it’s dark, the area is pleasantly lit, and the visitors can enjoy the perfect panorama of the Prague Castle just like during the day.

Due to quarantine restrictions, the number of people simultaneously skating on the rink will be limited. In addition, visitors will be asked to stay at the rink for no more than 60 minutes.

  • The skating rink will be open until March 7, 2021.
  • Opening hours – daily from 9 am to 9 pm
