Birell Prague Grand Prix 2023 to Take Place on September 2

26th anniversary will mark this year’s Birell Prague Grand Prix on September 2nd. Thousands of runners and spectators of all ages, genders, and sizes will enjoy the magical atmosphere of Prague at sunset.

The evening will start with a treat for all female runners – adidas Women’s Race 5km. The race begins at 18:00 in the center of Prague. Women can also sign up for the adidas Women’s Race 5km – pairs.

The main event, Birell 10K Race, will occur the same day at 19:30 when runners can enjoy an equally fast course. Double the course, double the fun! It also includes a Team Run for women, men, and mixed teams. In addition to the aforementioned races, fans can look forward to a rich accompanying program. Limited starting numbers are still available.

In addition to some of the most prominent international athletes’ who will compete in the Birell Prague Grand Prix weekend, we are happy to also welcome RunCzech Racing’s Jiri Homolac, Patrik Vebr, Damian Vich and Martin Zajic.

2022 European Championships marathon silver medalist, Croatia’s Matea Parlov Koštro (10km PB: 31:54, Berlin 2022), will race, together with Czechia’s own Marcela Joglova (10km PB: 35:44, Prague 2018) on a comeback from injury, for a beautiful clash of titans.

On the men’s side, Simon Debognies (10km PB: 27:48, Schoorl 2023), Belgian National 10km record holder, will test Tadese Worku (10km PB: 26:56, Herzogenaurach 2021), 2021 World U20 Champion (3000m), and one of the few men to break the 27-minute 10km barrier on two occasions; and Alexander Mutiso (10km PB: 27:35, Prague 2022), the winner of 2023 Prague International Marathon and our new CR holder.
