Karlín Soup Festival
For hungry stomachs, we do recommend visiting Karlín Market this Sunday where the first edition of the Karlín Soup Festival will take place.
You will be warmed up not only by traditional Czech soups such as potato soup, cabbage soup or tripe soup but also you will have the opportunity to taste soups from all over the world – the very popular Pho, chipotle, bouillabaisse, various types of cream soups and broths. Moreover, live music and fun program for children and adults will make this afternoon event even more enjoyable.
Seasons opening Prague Zoo
This Saturday, there will be the grand opening of the 91st season of Zoo Prague. Visitors will be able to enjoy a fashion show of children’s uniforms, which will be available for purchase on the spot, and a special collection of shirts with the motif of pangolins (also known as scaly anteaters) and authentic African dresses made from fabrics imported directly from Cameroon.
Other events include the launch of this year’s children’s tram, the christening of a baby silver gibbon, the opening of the “Gentle Giants” exhibition and a lecture on eastern gorillas.
Paper story
It is not very common that the audience may intervene within theatre performance. However, the play Paper story breaks these customs and involves children in the interactive finale in which they can enter the stage and create objects from paper according to their own imagination together with the performers.
A poetic production for children and their parents is about the fragile world we ourselves create, which is accompanied by the combination of pantomime, dance with elements of acrobatics, puppetry and animation. The main role is assigned to paper, playfulness and children’s imagination. Bring your children and don’t miss out this unique experience at the National Theatre.

Fancy travelling the world through food? Come and taste the best of the world’s street food this Saturday at Smíchovská náplavka. Choose from a wide range of street food specialties, such as fresh fish or juicy burgers and taste traditional Sri Lankan or African dishes.
There will also be spicy pljeskavica, chili-rich delicacies and even insects! In case you are more sweet person, you will definitely find your favourites here as well because you will have the opportunity to choose for example golden fried doughnuts, crispy waffles, light macaroons, iced popsicles, or a variety of sweet pastries and desserts.
The jungle that does not sleep
Prague‘s Botanical Garden invites you to experience a unique evening tour The Jungle That Doesn’t Sleep at the Fata Morgana greenhouse. You will have the opportunity to see that this world is actually full of life and greenery which does not fall asleep even after dark, but on the contrary, it pulsates with life, mysterious smells and sounds.

DIY at the Exhibition Grounds
Would you like to create something for yourself but you don’t have the proper tools or resources to make it happen? This weekend’s event will provide it for you, the only thing you need is the idea. You can either come on your own or with someone (also with children) and make your own decorations or simple furniture. Creativity has no limits!
If you have the basic materials, feel free to bring them, but you can also just come. You will most likely find everything you need in our workshop. For example, you will have a jig saw, mitre saw, grinders, welders, drills, various hand tools or even a 3D printer.
Trail Prague
If you like sports, especially running, this Saturday you have a great opportunity to join the annual trail run in Prague’s Petřín. Bring your friends and children and appreciate the beautiful view of Prague while you run. The event is suitable for all age groups and casual runners, as there are different routes depending on the difficulty. In addition, you will receive a medal and other interesting prizes!
