Czechia will strive to ensure that EU decides to grant Croatia entry into the Shengen Area, Czech PM Petr Fiala said on Thursday after meeting with his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenković in Prague. Plenković said that Croatia wants to enter the EU’s borderless zone in January 2023.

Construction production in the Czech Republic slowed down year-on-year growth in May. It grew by 3.3 percent in real terms, down from 4.4 percent in April. Construction output also rose month-on-month by 0.4 percent.
