After long discussions with all stakeholders and taking into consideration the Government regulations, organizers have been forced to announce the postponement of the Volkswagen Prague Marathon 2020 (scheduled for Sunday, 3 May).
“We are already looking for an alternative date and once it will be agreed with all responsible authorities we will communicate it on our official channels. All the participants will receive by email all details and additional information,” as stated on their website.
The accompanying events like dm family run, Walk with dogs and Marathon Expo will be also moved.
The Prague Half Marathon 2020 is now scheduled to take place on Sunday morning, 6 September 2020. The time and place of the start will be confirmed.
The Golden Spike Ostrava has been postponed, as well. No substitute date for the marathon has been announced yet.
The Prague Marathon was launched in 1995 under the patronage of legendary Olympic champion Emil Zátopek. The marathon course is flat and fast attracting the runners from all over the world.
