Over the last year, Prague British International School has been working on developing the fitness area at its Libuš campus.
On Friday 17th JanuaryVladimír Šmicer, the former Czech International football player, cut the ribbon to officially open the Fitness Suite and Active Zone.
This area is planned to be a wonderful resource, not just for PE but for all students, as regular exercise is a fabulous way to relieve stress and stay healthy. The school will also be offering a program of fitness activities from Krav Maga to yoga for students in years 10-13, parents and staff, which will be led by qualified, external sports instructors.
In the summer of 2019, the facilities of Libuš campus were redeveloped to house the expanded IGCSE and IB provision in the Upper Secondary school.
Libuš campus is dedicated to students aged 15 to 18 years old, (Year 10 to Year 13). The 4-year campus delivers internationally recognized examinations in state-of-the-art facilities, with inspirational teachers and aspirational learning.
PBIS is built on a solid foundation of academic excellence. In 2017 students at EISP and PBS achieved the highest average IB results in Prague with two students achieving a perfect score.
