The first edition of Comic-Con Prague was attended by over 23,000 visitors.
The organizers said the event was “a great success that exceeded all expectations” and are already working on the next edition, which is to take place from February 12 to February 14 in 2021.
Fans were enthusiastic about Danny John-Jules, the actor playing the Cat in the British series Red Dwarf, John Rhys-Davies known as the dwarf Gimli from the Lord of the Rings, and Ron Perlman, who had played Hellboy.
The organizers offered tickets admission for individual days, for two weekend days or for the whole three days-festival. Friday and Sunday the ticket was 790 CZK, on Saturday 990 CZK, a three-day ticket cost 1990 CZK. There was also a three-day VIP ticket for 4990 CZK.
Comic-Con took place in the Czech Republic for the first time, but it has a long tradition in many cities abroad. The first edition took place in the United States in 1970 and has grown into an important event over the years.
Comic-Con focuses on films, series, games, comic strips, and books in the science-fiction, fantasy and horror genres.
The festival is a perfect event for fans of sci-fi, comic books, games, anime, books, music, and costumes. Included in the first-ever Prague edition, there were gaming tournaments, film screenings, workshops, lectures, various competitions, presentations, exhibitions, and concerts.
Comic-Con has been popular all over the world. The first festival took place in the United States in 1970 and since then it has turned into an important world event.
