8 of the Most Exciting New Openings in Prague

Mr. G’s Asian

Riccardo Lucque, founder of La Collezione, recently launched a new project – Mr. G’s Asian. As the name suggests, the kitchen here is headed by “Mr. G”, or Greg, and unlike other projects from the group, the restaurant is based on Asian cuisine.

Greg originally cooked for Aromi for two years. Riccardo Lucque was so impressed with his art that he decided to invest in Greg’s ideas and open a completely new concept. They have built the menu of the new venture around seafood and meat, and the individual dishes are perfect for sharing.

Have the oysters for starters and for the main course try the seabream with chili jam, crispy garlic, mint and coriander or the pork belly with green mung beans drizzled with peanut dressing. Finish the meal with a glass of Italian Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon. Can’t leave the restaurant without a sweet spot? They’ll serve you coconut tapioca with your choice of seasonal fruit.

Harlem Bistro

If you don’t have time to grab lunch before your train journey, take it with you from Harlem Bistro at Prague’s Masaryk Station. From the window, you can get a pulled pork burger, quesadilla, hot dog, or for those who prefer lighter meals, a caprese sandwich or avocado toast. For a side, order fries and have them served with your choice of BBQ sauce, cheddar, tomato salsa or jalapeño mayo.

Terminal Karlín

There is one more reason to visit the Dva Kohouti brewery in the Karlín courtyard. The street food container called Terminal Karlín will now serve Asian specialties – daily soup, Bao Bun in various ways, curries and Asian salads. Something properly fried goes best with beer, so we recommend the fries with wasabi mayo. So come warm up with some good food.

The next time you get a craving for Indian food, go for a tasting at Prague’s Curry & Tikka restaurant. If you’ve had a long drive to Horní Počernice, you might be closer to their new branch in Stodůlky.

Two Dots

The new espresso bar on the border of Prague’s Vinohrady and Žižkov districts was created by the loving merger of two people and projects: the Project FOX coffee roastery led by Patrik Ramiandravola and the Káva & Dort bakery run by Iveta Kassaiová. At Two Dots you can enjoy a combination of several great things at the same time in a pleasant environment – delicious cakes and sweet pastries, perfect coffee and as a bonus a chat with the friendly owners.

Supernova Bakehouse

More good news for sweet lovers – you can now treat your taste buds with a sweet treat at another establishment in Prague’s Holešovice. Have an honest croissant with 50% butter. They take extra care in its preparation – it takes three days, but the extra is worth it, just try it for yourself.

Next, you can enjoy a cruffin – a cross between a croissant and a muffin, which they fill with pistachio or nutella cream. Finally, try the fleur de chocolate – a croissant dough “flower” filled with chocolate cream. And how best to eat it? Ideally with your sweetheart.

Kin & K Bakery

At another location across the river from the previous establishment, you can also sample baked goodies at the second branch of Kin & K Bakery. Go here for a coffee and for breakfast have their croissant filled with pistachio or strawberry cream, mango or raspberry danish, chocolate roll or cinnamon snail. As an added bonus, you can also get something savoury to go – try their handmade sourdough bread.
