Metronome Festival Prague Postponed

In response to the current situation and emergency measures against Covid-19, Metronome Prague festival has been postponed to September 17 to 19, in the same venue, Výstaviště Praha.

All purchased tickets remain valid. Refund options will be offered from mid-April to the end of June.

“The health and safety of our fans, workers, and artists coming first, we are very pleased abiding to all these extraordinary actions taken nowadays. We had already put a lot of effort and energy into the event preparations communicating with hundreds of artists, interprets and partners. The program was already shaping up to be amazing. Now that we have more time, we will bring it to the stratosphere!” wrote the organizers on Facebook.

Metronome Festival Prague is a three-day music festival held in the Výstaviště exhibition grounds.

Establishing itself as the Czechian capital’s most revered multi-genre music festival, Metronome Festival Prague continues to produce eclectic, impressive lineups year-upon-year, showcasing a diverse roster of artists ranging from budding talents to legendary icons; recent years have seen the likes of Kraftwerk, The Chemical Brothers, Liam Gallagher, and Iggy Pop all perform, with British dance icons Underworld taking the headliner mantle in 2020.

The first foreign headliner announced for this year was Underworld“It will be a singular event and the biggest show we’ve ever produced,” the band said. The duo that hails from Cardiff has been performing its brand of electronica for nearly thirty years while remaining relevant and shaping today’s modern music. The new album Drift Songs is Underworld’s first studio effort in three years.

A home band will also perform at the festival – TATA BOJS – one of the most popular Czech bands with a load of hits and a huge fan base.
