The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute said Děčín and České Budějovice have recorded a high of 15.3C – meaning today is the warmest New Year’s Eve in the last 90 years.
Hradec Králové held the previous 31 December record of 16.3C in 1935.
The UK also experienced its warmest New Year’s Eve on record with temperatures hovering around 15°C, the Met Office said.
The village of Coningsby in Lincolnshire in the East Midlands recorded a temperature of 15.3°C, breaking a previous record of 14.8°C set in Wales in 2011.
France is no less, with temperatures 10 degrees warmer than average in some regions, according to forecasts by the national meteorological service Météo France.
Bordeaux residents are making the most of the good weather, as the period between Christmas and New Year’s Eve should be the warmest in the country’s history.
Spain also faced the warmest New Year’s Eve in 40 years with temperatures of up to 25ºC.
