  • The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs is planning to soon set up a representative office in the city of Uzhhorod in western Ukraine, which lies just a few kilometres from Slovakia.

 

  • According to a new survey conducted by consultancy company PwC, Czech women earn around 20 percent less than men on average. Women are also less represented in leadership positions in companies.

 

  • Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis is set to visit the Czech Republic on Thursday where he will meet with his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavský

 

  • President Miloš Zeman signed the 2022 budget law on Tuesday, which was adopted last week with a deficit of CZK 280 billion.

  •  The labour minister warned Czech employers against abusing the plight of refugees saying that attempts to do so would be heavily sanctioned. He said a number of dubious offers had already been registered and reported.
