MINT Market Returns to Pražská Tržnice This Weekend

MINT Market returns to Pražská tržnice this weekend November 27 and 28 where you will find 121 local and independent brands. Expect original fashion, jewelry, accessories, and all kinds of designer items. Avoid busy shopping centres and get your Christmas gifts early this year directly from their authors from 9 AM to 5 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. After Last Year’s break, Christmas Markets are Returning to Náměstí Míru This Weekend

The covid pandemic canceled last year’s Christmas markets, but the first festivities of this year’s season will return Saturday, Nov. 20. Náměstí Míru will be filled with traditional assortment and delicacies. The festive atmosphere will be extended to Tyl Square the following Friday. Both markets will be open until Christmas Day, per a Prague 2 press release. The advent in Prague 2 mainly includes cultural, social and family events, all of which are usually organized by the town hall during this period. Concerts in churches with free admission are especially popular. “For the last Sunday in November, we are preparing an Advent stop at Ludmila. A spontaneous meeting in the middle of the Christmas markets with excellent potato pancakes and mulled wine is a great opportunity to welcome Advent time. On the third Sunday of Advent, on the steps of the church of St. Ludmila, we will meet with our representatives and we will all sing Christmas carols together with our neighbors from Dvojka,” invites Mayor Jana Černochová (ODS). As Christmas season approaches, Manifesto will once again become a place to spend time with loved ones in an environment that evokes an exceptional mood. At Manifesto Anděl, visitors can leave the cold and sleet behind and slip into the heated “Anděl’s market under the roof,” filled with the scent of seasonal hot cocktails that drifts into the air at the market. Beaujolais Nouveau is a young red wine made from Gamay grapes sourced from the French region of Beaujolais (Burgundy). It is also a holiday of the same name, celebrated annually all over the world. Free Ice Skating Rink to Open at Letná Park on December 1

An original date, an afternoon with friends or nostalgia for the older generation? The outdoor ice rink will impress all generations and kinds of ice skaters. The most important thing is to have fun! On December 1, one of the most popular ice skating rinks in Prague will reopen to the public. Like last year, the entrance is for free. There will be two skating rinks on the Letná Plain this year – a large one with a size of 40 x 20 meters and a smaller children’s rink size 22 x 10 meters. The ice-skating rink and the facilities will be illuminated after dark. The cooling unit retains the rink cool even in case of the outdoor temperature of +15 degrees. The skating rink facilities include a heated tent, refreshments, ice skates rental. Guests will also have access to fast food tents with heated benches and a skating school where experienced instructors will teach beginners to feel confident on the ice. Rodinný pivovar Bernard was named the best brewing company of 2021, winning the Pivovar roku prize for the consistently high quality of its products, investment and continuous improvement in production. The second place was taken by PRIMÁTOR company, Žatecký pivovar ranked third. The competition to determine the best varieties and producers is carried out through a survey among the 1508 members of the organization. Here are the Opening Times for This Holiday Season’s Christmas Markets 

The Christmas market season in Prague starts on November 20. On this day, the festive market in Náměstí Míru — will open its doors to the townspeople. Five days later, on November 25, a fair will open at Náměstí Republiky. The following day the Christmas market will open at the IP Pavlova metro station (Tylovo náměstí).  These three fairs will meet guests daily from 10:00 to 19:00 until December  24. This information appeared on the official website of the organizing company. The Christmas markets at Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square (the largest in the city) will open on November 27 and run until January 6. In the evening of the same day, a Christmas tree will be lit on the Old Town Square, and festive lighting will be turned on on the central streets.
