36-Degree Heatwave Could Hit the Czech Republic This Week

Meteorologists have warned of an upcoming heatwave that is expected to bring temperature highs of 36 degrees Celsius midweek.

People have been warned to increase their intake of liquids, not to spend too much time outdoors and not forget proper protection. Young children, the elderly and people with chronic diseases should stay out of the sun.

Monday, July 18 should be sunny and dry with day temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius. During the day the air heats up to 26-30 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, weather forecasters promise clear and dry weather with daytime temperatures ranging from 28 to 33 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday it will be sunny again, but in the evening there will be occasional rains or thunderstorms. Maximum daily temperatures range from 32 to 36 degrees Celsius.

On Thursday, the weather will not change, with day temperatures reaching 31 degrees Celsius.

Friday is sunny again with day temperatures ranging between 25-30 degrees Celsius.

On Saturday, forecasters predict a variable cloud cover with local precipitation. Daily temperatures range from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius.

The sky will be cloudy on Sunday. High probability of rain and thunderstorms with day temperatures between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius.
