Everyone cringes when they lose something important, but finally, enough time has passed that we can all look back and laugh a little. So, what did people lose on Prague’s public transportation in 2016?

The answer is a lot of things. In 2016, 5,601 items were registered as lost — some weirder than others. Possibly the most embarrassing is not just an item. One forgetful person left behind their baby stroller, with not just their baby in it, but a cat too.

Others left behind objects ranging from a car radiator to a hookah. Other items left behind include an angel costume, police baton, life jacket, an African drum, and even a vacuum cleaner.

“From the musical instruments found, several orchestras could be created,” according to a press release by Prague’s Transport Company (DPP). Instruments found included an oboe, trumpet, violin, flute, and a clarinet.

One particularly odd case was when a drone was found, not inside, but on top of a public bus.

The number of lost items is high compared to past years. In 2013 only 2,511 items were lost. This is a 55% increase in registered lost items over the last four years. That said, in both 2013 and 2016, 39% of found items were returned to their owners.

The numbers of times lost items have been found has been increasing yearly since 2013. However, it unclear whether this increase is because more personal belongings are lost, or because people are reporting their lost items more frequently.

An additional 998 personal documents were found, which are not included in the statistic of registered lost items. This totals the number of officially lost items to 6,599.
