Vzorkovna is a cult place and if you ask around about it there won’t be many people that wouldn’t know what it is. There used to be another Vzorkovna just a few blocks away. After that they moved to this – I would say even better – a place near the National Theatre.
Vzorkovna works as a social club. At the entrance you pay a minimum of 50 CZK that is charged on the chip you get right after entering, and when you wanna order something you pay just with your chip.
What I find the most impressive about Vzorkovna is the space itself. It’s a bit of a maze, but surprisingly clearly divided into different areas. Either you can enjoy your tea in the tearoom or just listen to one of their concerts. As a bonus, you’ll get a cool cold spot where you can hide from the tropical summer weather outside.
I really like the atmosphere of the space made of pallets, which is a bit hidden in the dark. And on top of it, you can enjoy pretty decent beer from a jar which also just strengthens the spirit of the spot.
