In the last several days, protests have been happening across the United States, against anti-immigration measures introduced by President Donald Trump.
The ‘Muslim Ban’ prevents people from seven, majority Muslim countries, entering the U.S. The ban was lifted on Friday but President Trump is fighting to get it reinstated and protests are still widespread.
At one large protest in Seattle, someone was spotted holding a sign which reads “Where are you, Václav Havel?”
The current Czech president, Miloš Zeman, has publicly praised the ban. Zeman’s spokesman, Jiří Ovčáček, tweeted last week: “US President Donald Trump protects his country, he’s concerned with the safety of his citizens. Exactly what EU elites do not do.”
