Two trains have collided head-on in Puglia, Italy, killing at around 20 people and injuring dozens.

“We are working with dozens of rescue teams to open up the carriages, “said a spokesman for the fire brigade, adding that they had saved a child from the wreckage.

The trains were traveling on a single-track line and collided at about 11:30 am between the town of Corato and Andria.
