Despite the fact that the level of unemployment in the Czech Republic is low, there are professions, which are particularly in demand in the Czech labor market.
The most urgent demand is observed in the fields of information technology, manufacturing, and business services. For example, only in the IT-industry, there is a lack of approximately 20 thousand employees.
The lack of employees, even if they are not specifically qualified, pushing the companies to seek for foreign workers.
“Industrial production follows the excellent trends from last year and growing demand for workforce is visible among companies, in particular from technical sectors,” Confederation of Industry president Jaroslav Hanak.
The confederation pointed out that with the record employment, companies offer almost 108,000 vacancies and have no people to fill them. Companies lack increasingly more technically educated people and many companies are unable to find even employees for economic professions.
