The planned protest should head to Václav Havel Airport. They will meet at Strahov at 2 pm.

"We had a coordinating meeting last night, we're going to the Airport," said AKT board member Karolína Venclová.

The taxi drivers claim that Uber drivers provide the same services as taxis but do not have to fulfill all the same legal conditions such as having a taxi license or a meter.

Taxi drivers already protested against shared ride services like Uber and Taxify on February 8. Minister of Transport Dan Ťok condemned the protest and said he would not meet protest leaders before an already agreed date later in the month.

There are currently 2,000 Uber drivers in Prague, most of them work for the UberPop service. According to municipal data, there are 5,000 taxi drivers in Prague.
