A new retail park is set to open outside Prague in Čestlice and Průhonice, during Spring 2018.

Located off the D1 motorway in the direction of Brno, the development will spread over a total of 39 hectares of land, which is the equivalent size of nine St Wenceslas Squares.

The first stage of building, however, will cover just 16 hectares, with further stages to follow. The total cost of investment comes to 1.5 billion crowns.

"There has not been a larger commercial zone in Czech retail for the past ten years," said Katarina Brydon, chief of retail at CBRE, the commercial real estate advisors for the project.

The first set of available retail units have been bought. However, the specific retailers that will be opening stores on the site is yet to be released. Previous rumours included IKEA as one of the retailers.
