British singer-songwriter Sting will be the main star of Prague’s Metronome festival, which will take place in the Czech capital in June. The former frontman of the rock band Police will be accompanied on stage by his three-member band, including guitarist Dominic Miller. The tickets will go on sale on December 12.
“We’re really thrilled that we managed to bring Sting to Prague Metronome Festival 2017 and that we can share our excitement with all the fans. It will be Sting‘s Czech festival premiere and we’re happy it will take place on Metronome,“ says Barbora Subrtova, the festival’s music curator.
Prague Metronome Festival is the new international festival in the Prague’s city center and it offers the most interesting international acts and the best Czech musicians alike. The first year reviewers appreciated the presenting of artists like Iggy Pop, Foals, The Kooks, Ivan Kral or Jiří Suchý and praised the organizers for delivering an impressive experience.
