From bullfighting to horror to tender love stories, the annual La Pelicula festival showcases unique aspects of Spanish filmmaking.

In February, the Czech and Moravian cinemas will once again be sounding Spanish. Festival La Pelicula is held in Prague, Brno, Hradec Králové, Ostrava and offers a selection of the best current Spanish-language movies.

From 14 to 19 February, the festival takes place in Kino Světozor in Prague, between 16 and 19 February in Brno cinema Scala, from February 20 to 22 will move to Ostrava at Minikino and from February 22 to 24 in Hradec Králové at Bio Central.

Viewers can look forward to an exciting sci-fi thriller about the end of the world “Konec” (Fin), the satirical “Noah’s Ark” (El Arca de Noe) or the dramatic “Mother” (La madre), which was successfully shown among others at Cannes Film Festival.

The festival is organized by Cervantes Institute, the Spanish Embassy in Prague, and Světozor cinema.
