In Prague 2, a pilot project has been in effect since last December. The project allows homeless to eat for free.

There are six catering facilities and the project is supported by the City Hall of the second district. It is supported by Nadeje organization which focuses on the homeless in Prague.

The owner of one of the restaurants, U Voraře (Na Výtoni 1259/12, Praha 2) Tomaš Marounek said, “I do not think I will be burdened by giving one, two, or three meals a day to a person who is hungry.”  The number of portions provided and the days of the week are determined by the operators.
