In reaction to Friday’s shooting in Munich, Czech police will preventively guard shopping centres in the country.

Czech Police Presidium said that Czech police has already adopted security measures after the terrorist attacks in Brussels in late March, now they started patrolling places with a high concentration of people.

Minister of the Interior Chovanec said there is no suggestion that a specific terrorist or other threat applies to the Czech Republic at the moment.

At the moment a level one security alert applies to the country. A one to four, with four the highest, security evaluation is in place.
