The festival’s main event, the wing eating contest, is on Sunday. There will be 14 competitors, each having seven minutes to eat 50 wings. The competition is simple, the contender who finishes their 50 first, or eats the most in the time limit wins. There are lots of prizes on offer for the all the finalists as well, including bottles of Bulleit Bourbon. The event is hosted by WingHaus.

“The atmosphere created during eating competitions is extremely fun. Adrenaline is rushing, food is flying and there is always a good vibe around. I am mostly excited that this is the first competition of its kind in the Czech Republic,” said WingHaus owner and event organizer, Sergio Raygada.

“It’s really fulfilling to be able to throw an event like this which brings so many people together of different cultures and backgrounds.” Raygada continued.

There are two ways to enter the competition. You can buy raffle tickets at the event, with the chance of winning one of seven raffle slots for the stage. All of the profits from tickets sold will go to Life 4 Kids-Uganda. The second way to qualify is by going to WingHaus and tackling their Wing King challenge. For qualifiers, the challenge is reduced to 30 wings. If you are one of the seven fastest eaters, you will earn your spot on the stage.

As of now, the record is 30 wings in 4:40. However, there is still over a week to win your spot in the competition. The competition menu at WingHaus costs 250 CZK.
