The Prague-Bubny train station was the departing place for roughly 50,000 Czech Jews during World War II. Through this weekend there’s a play about the holocaust being performed based on the novel ‘A Prayer for Kateřina Horowitz‘ by Czech author Arnošt Lustig, a holocaust survivor.

The play is part of a traveling production and is being performed out of an old rail car similar to those used as transports during the war. There are large photos being displayed of survivors who actually left this station as children.

I took some photos yesterday as they were setting up. More information is at: www.oldway.cz and www.vlaklustig.cz
