This year, the Czech Republic will host the annual fifth Theatre Night that will be united under the ‘Forever Young’ umbrella theme.
Theatre Night is part of the European Theatre Night that was founded in 2008 by the Croatian theatre-makers.
The audiences will have the opportunity to visit workshops, lectures, book signings or backstage tours and could also participate in pulling down the stage, discussions with directors or touring the backstage in small and big theatres.
In 2016, over 50.000 spectators attended the Theatre Night. It encompassed 130 ensembles and cultural institutions from 31 Czech and Moravian cities, making it again the biggest event of the European Theatre network.
The theatres involved in Prague are: Studio Hrdinů, Vila Štvanice, Palác Akropolis, Meetfactory, Studio DVA divadlo, Venuše ve Švehlovce, Studio Alta, Pomezí, and many more.
