Jiří Král is one of the biggest names in gastronomy. For many years he was the captain of the national culinary team of chefs of Czechoslovak Union, he won the title Chef of the Year and has worked in restaurants across the globe. You may have also seen his face on Czech television when he appeared in the show Cooking emergency (Kuchařská pohotovost) as well.

Combining all of his experience, the famous chef opened the restaurant Aureole, in Prague.

Jiří Král traveled the world to get inspiration from every corner and take home the best. About Asia, he loves that they can create so much flavour with a few ingredients, in French cuisine he admires the tradition and in Argentina, the great meat.

Asian fusion cuisine embodies all his ideas and chef claims himself: “Fusion cuisine is amazing because a man can play and invent a lot of combinations. It’s a creative craft where I can combine traditional asian flavours with European ones.”

Currently, you can taste the specialties of its unique space in the Fusion Restaurant & Lounge, which is a unique project on the 27th floor of the tallest building in the Prague City Tower. The restaurant is located at a height of 109 m and thus provides a unique view of the city and outlying parts like Barrandov, Podolí and Kavčí hory as well. It was awarded for four times a Michelin Bib Gourmand award, which is given for “exceptionally good food at reasonable prices” and in Prague only 6 other restaurants have this honour.
