The three main Easter Markets in Prague will open Saturday, March 17, at Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and náměstí Republiky. They will run until Monday, April 8. Easter itself falls on April 1. 

The markets this year will draw on the motifs of the waking spring and feature new decorations, refreshments, and a daily cultural program. Vendors will offer typical spring and Easter goods, including hand-decorated eggs and braided Easter whips.

“The market is focusing on the Czech traditional Easter, which extends to the products sold at the market. There are regulations from Prague 1 about what is allowed to be sold — for example, Prague magnets are not allowed. Even if they would sell well, they have nothing to do with Czech Easter traditions,” Karen Hartley from the market organizer Taiko said.
