The National Gallery in Prague together with HateFree Culture and partners invite you to the Common baking of Christmas cookies on Sunday December 10 in the Trade Fair Palace, symbolically on Human Rights Day.
Christmas cookies will be prepared for those who do not have merry Christmas because of their unfavorable life situation. Migrants living in the Czech Republic are invited to take part in the event. Baked cookies will be afterwards handed over to people without home and to asylum seekers from the Kostelec refugee facility. The partners of the event are InBáze, Cooks without Homes, SladkéUmění.cz, Multicultural Center Prague and Centrum Alfirdaus.
Organizers ask participants to bring their own dough and marmalade from home. There will be raw material available for preparing vanilla rolls and gingerbread, but for organizational reasons, they would like to use this possibility only to a minimum.
They also ask to consider in advance whether you can finish it with the help of others during that day when baking will take place (avoid the recipe that needs more days). Besides cookies, they will create handmade wishes and messages that will be put into each box. The material for packaging and greeting cards will be available.
Event capacity is not limited. The more we will be, the better.
