The Czech government announces 75% discount on trains and intercity buses for students under 26 years and retirees over 65 years, starting from June 10, 2018.

According to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the government will have to work through all the details of this measure and establish specific deadlines for its implementation.

To obtain the benefits, passengers will have to show their identity card (for retirees) or a student card at the cashier's desk.

The representative of the state railway carrier České dráhy announced that this move would lead to a significant increase in passenger traffic. Although they are confident that they will easily cope with the situation.
