After extensive reconstruction, the renovated and extended Chodov shopping centre will open on 11th October this year.

The new part of the Prague shopping centre is 61,000 square meters, and will increase the total area of the complex to more than 100,000 square meters. A total of 165 new brands will be available to consumers, making it the largest shopping centre in the Czech Republic, with more than 300 stores in operation in total.

The construction works to the mall are running on schedule for the new opening. They focus not only on the new annexe, but also an old part of the complex, where large-scale reconstruction is also underway. After the completion of the works, a modern multiplex Cinema City will open with 18 cinemas, including 4DX technology. It will be the largest multiplex in the Czech Republic, where 2,600 spectators can watch films simultaneously.

“In the autumn, among our new tenants, for example, all seven brands of the Inditex concern, including new products in the Czech market, Oysho and Zara Home, as well as H & M’s flagship store with an area of 3,000 square meters,” says Petra Valentova TC marketing manager.

Unibail-Rodamco, which owns the shopping center, reported in 2015 that it will invest 4.5 billion kroons (165 million euros) in the expansion and modernization of the complex.
