There is good news for commuters in Prague from this weekend as the Metro, buses and trams will offer a more regular service at peak times.

The urban public transport system is cutting down interval in the peak afternoon and evening from 21:00 – 22:30, so passengers will have greater options of transport at their fingertips. For the Metro, the original 5 services that run within an hour will increase to 9 times within an hour.

A similar route strengthening will happen for evening buses and trams. Where intervals between Metro trains will be shortened from 10 to 7.5 minutes, most evening buses wait times will reduce from 20 to 15 minutes, and for selected lines from 40 down to 30 minutes.
