The Czech government announces free travel by trains for students under 26 years and retirees over 65 years.

According to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the government will have to work through all the details of this measure and establish specific deadlines for its implementation.

He said: “There is a debate about specific conditions. In particular, whether the license granting the right to free travel will be issued free of charge or for several hundred crowns.”

The representative of the state railway carrier České dráhy announced that free travel for students and pensioners would lead to a significant increase in passenger traffic. Although they are confident that they will easily cope with the situation.
