300 Art Works From National Gallery Are Now Online

The National Gallery in Prague has started presenting its collections online and high-resolution images of the first 300 works of art have been freely available on its website.

The gallery plans to release online its complete collections (nearly 400,000 works) in the long term.

Details that cannot be seen by the naked eye should be visible in the high resolution images.

The National Gallery displays its wonderful collection of art dating from medieval times to the 21st century in eight unique locations (Veletrzni Palace, Schwarzenberg Palace, Sternberg Palace, Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia, Salmovský Palace, Kinsky Palace, Wallenstein Riding School, Zbraslav Chateau)

It hosts some extremely valuable examples of French and European art, including important works by such illustrious names as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Auguste Renoir, Vincent van Gogh, Gustav Klimt and many more.
