If you tried to keep track of every brand new restaurant in Prague, you might go a little bit crazy. So just read this list instead.
These are the new restaurant openings that seem like they have the most potential - although keep in mind, for the ones we haven’t tried, we make no promises. Go forth and be a pioneer!
The first new restaurant is not the typical newcomer we usually present in this column. Edison Filmhub is a new chamber film theater in the center of Prague. And you will definitely find this fusion of stylish café, architecture, and chamber film theater thrilling. It’s a venue for quality film festivals, discussions, select coffees as well as evening drinks. What was formerly the Edison electrical substation has been transformed into a brand-new Prague cinema several decades later, set in a functionalistic space which has never before served this purpose. Excellent coffee and drinks are an amazing bonus: you can enjoy them before watching a film, afterwards, or you can come in just for them.
And now let’s get back to food for a while. In the heart of the Karlín district, inside Vnitroblock near the Můj Šálek Kávy café, a new Vietnamese restaurant has opened its doors. The bistro offers high-quality Vietnamese cuisine which they strive to prepare in traditional ways. The entire concept is centered around authentic dishes and your satisfaction. The restaurant boasts a fairly large capacity as well as a charming patio inside Vnitroblock. It’s a perfect spot for having a quick, light summer lunch or for a peaceful dinner after work.
The restaurant offers excellent menu choices from breakfasts to dinner, with health as the main focus. They want to serve food that make sense and the dishes are always colorful. The restaurant’s interior will definitely enchant you as well. Go try this new venue where they prepare food with love.
The next place we’ll introduce has a different take on burgers – a colorful take. The newly opened venue in Prague’s Žižkov district focuses on burgers first and foremost. They bake their own buns here and they color them too, using only natural colors of course: beet, turmeric, and others. Not only do they look great - their taste is perfectly balanced as well. The burgers have unique names, too – names such as the Madman of Žižkov, The Escape from Bohnice, Drunk Johnny, the Red Boy, the Destroyer, or A Villager in Prague. If you are looking for something truly different, this could be one of your stops.
